Tissue?engineering?has?been?rapidly?developed?in?recent?years?as?a?promising?approach?in?treating?diseases?and?injuries?by?combining?cells,?biomaterial?scaffolds,?and?biologically?active?molecules.?Many?engineered?tissues?and?organs?such?as?skin?and?cartilage?have?already?been?used?for?clinical?applications.?This?lecture?will?highlight?the?latest?progress,?future?trends?and?challenges?of?porous?scaffolds?and?biomimetic?biomaterials,?and?introduce?a?few?typical?scaffolds?such?as?funnel-like?porous?scaffolds,?hybrid?scaffolds?of?biodegradable?synthetic?polymers?and?naturally?derived?polymers,?and?autologous?scaffolds.?
